Uses: Table/Dessert

A blue-black variety with medium sized compact clusters of medium to large berries. Vine has good vigor and is medium hardy to hardy. Fruit ripens two to three weeks before Concord. Alwood is a good early blue variety for market and roadside stand.

Susceptibility to disease during an average growing season:
Black Rot - Slightly Susceptible
Downey Mildew - Slightly Susceptible
Powdery Mildew - Slightly Susceptible
Botrytis - Slightly Susceptible
The sensitivity of this variety to Sulpher is unknown.
